Meanwhile I found out that this is a Vista-bug. It already exists more than a year and nothing has been done about it!
Someone found out a workaround. see: http://www.petri.co.il/forums/showthread.php?t=13696

I refused to give up on finding a fix for this problem. I found a website at www.tucows.com/preview/194967
When you download the FREE program, it will ask you which file types do you want to associate with this program. I chose the tif, tiff file type. Then when I went to outlook and opened a tif file, it was showing properly. You can then print it or send it to a pdf converter for easier use. (cutepdf.com) is FREE! I hope this helps.
And it works!
