lost icon picture

I downloaded windows live photo gallery on my secondary machine for the wife and kids. It runs using XP, all of a sudden I lost the icon picture for the icon on the desktop. It is just a white square w/blue border and the name. I tried unistall and reinstall and still the problem persist. What else can I do.

===================================
Right click the icon and choose ...Properties /
Shortcut tab / Change Icon button...

If the Icon is displayed...select it and left click...
OK / Apply / OK.

Also you could try left clicking the 'Find Target'
button...from the list of files...right click...

WLXPhotoGallery.exe

From the menu...choose...Send To / Desktop (create shortcut)...

Re: lost icon picture

If you have more then messed up icon, delete your icon cache. This is a
simple process and you can find the steps on google or support.microsoft.com
