    Print Pictures Error Pops Up

HP Desktop Vista Home Premium SP1. I've been using Windows Photo Gallery
for about a year. It recently stopped working. All is OK till I click Print
on a selected Photo. (I get a popup "Printer Pictures Error" while
attempting to print your pictures.) No other explanation, number or info.
I'm using a Canon390 which has worked great...and I've done as lot of photo
printing. I've checked the driver, reconnected the printer (USB), and
downloaded and installed Windows Live Photo Gallery. No change jin the
    problem
However, I don't have any problem printing text and or photos from my
    Windows Mail folder.
I'm strictly a user, not a guru so please try to keep it simple....if
    possible.

More in this issue: I can print anything from my Documents Folder.
Microsoft Word, Including stored email photos and slide shows. No problem.
Only when I try to print from Live Photogallery. Hope there is an easy
solution. Thanks in advance. bob g

    No guarantees...but I think I would try
    uninstalling / reinstalling the printer...

And there's a slight chance that renaming
    or deleting the PhotoGallery database
    would make an improvement.

    This database named "Pictures.pd4" is
    found at the following location.

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4

The file can also be found with an Advanced
    Search for pd4.

    Go to...Start / Search / Advanced Search.

    Check the box..."Include non-indexed, hidden,
and system files" Enter pd4 in the Name field
and left click the Search button.

If you right click / rename the file to: Pictures.OLD
the gallery will create a new Pictures.pd4 the
    next time it is launched.

Hi John, Your ideas were good and I learned alot....but they didn't work. I
finally System Restored 6 different times and finally back to May 24. That
worked. But I still don't know what caused the problem. Thanks again for
    your help. bobg
