Remove Folder from Gallery?

Hi guys. How do I remove a folder from Live Gallery? The steps shown in Help do not work because the "remove folder from gallery" option does not exist in the right click menu. The only closest available option is delete, but that sends the folder to the recycle bin.

Thanks

============================
You can only remove folders that you
added to PhotoGallery by going to...
File / Include a folder in the gallery.

However...

If you would like to clear Windows
Vista Photo Gallery...try the following...
============================
The following steps should clear the
Photo Gallery...then you can add any
folder you choose.

Open Photo Gallery and go to...

File / Add Folder to Gallery

In the Folder field...Type C:\

The drop window will open...

In the drop window...choose...
C:\Users / OK / OK

In the left pane of Photo Gallery under
"Folders"...right click..."Users"

From the menu...choose...
"Remove From The Gallery" / Yes.

That should do it.....

Now you can go to...File / Include a folder
in the gallery...and choose any folder you
prefer.

===

If the result is not what you hoped for...
Right click your Start button and choose
....Explore...

Navigate to the following folder:

C:\Users\>UserName<\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery
Delete everything in the folder...
Specifically...Pictures.pd4 and NavTree.State

The next time you open the Photo Gallery it
should be as it was the first time you opened it.

Good luck...

Re: Remove Folder from Gallery?

Hello guys, in spite of the solution that is been given by John Inzer,
shouldn't it work as it is mentioned? I've got the same problem and I
uninstalled the whole lot. Went back to Picasa2.
Later I installed it again and now I see that more people suffer from. It
seems again another prove of the impossible ambitions of Bill G. It annoys
me that they can come away with it.
Hope they also read it and do something about it.
HansN.

Simple fact is...you can only remove folders that
you added unless you use the method I posted.
Then you can add/remove any folder you wish.

Re: Remove Folder from Gallery?

This allowed me to remove the public folders, but I cannot remove the Pictures and Videos folders using either method mentioned.

Sorry, but the info I have already provided is
the only way I know of to clear the Gallery and
add your own choice of folders.

Re: Remove Folder from Gallery?

Then make a copy for safty's sake, and actually delete the thing: Once
you've sent it to the recycling bin, go in there after it and retrieve it;
It is probably mobile from there lov
