| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re directing media saved to second HD Slowly but surely I'm learning more and more about Vista interface and I like the idea behind the Media Center. However, as much as I like it I would prefer if all media was saved to my second hard-drive where I would like to keep all the media instead of where Vista saves them into the HD that I want to keep relatively clean as the system drive. What would be a workaround for: Keep using Media Center but forcing it to use say... Drive D as the storage space for media. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Re directing media saved to second HD I don't think you can force vista to STORE the files to the D drive, but I believe you can store them there yourself and tell vista to find them there. The only way i accomplish this is by going into windows media player and specifing a folder on my external that has my music and movies and within a few min, they show up in the library, and as the library is shared between media center and media player, they show up in media center as well. This works for me. Hope that makes sense. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Re directing media saved to second HD Yeah it does... I kinda sussed that out but I recently ripped a CD of my partners music and it automatically saved them on the C drive and I don;t recall being asked if I wanted to save them somewhere else. Maybe I missed something? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Re directing media saved to second HD Within Media Player, click on the now playing tab and in the drop down list select more options Find the Rip Music tab and from here you can select the location of the music you want to rip. Media Player should add it to the libarary and it should turn up in media center. Hope this helps. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Re directing media saved to second HD Yes..it's a nice feature but I want the the ripped tracks to end up on the D:drive rather than in my music directory on the C: drive. In other words I want anything ripped, off the c drive and store the media on the d drive automatically. I'm trying to keep the C drive clean of mp3's and other media. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Re directing media saved to second HD see previous post.... You can change the location where the music ripped is stored, from now on. Anything ripped before when you change the directory will have to be moved manually. |
