two problem with MDC

Hello all,
I´m having 2 different problems with MC on vista 32bits.

1st, when i try to set up the settings.... the vista cirlce on the middle of the screen won´t go away.. it kept "thinking" and thinking...

2nd, the videos pause randomly.... this doesn´t happen when i play the video outside media center.

my video card is a 8800GT with drivers 169.25

any idea?

How much ram are you running? Cuz it sounds like a memory issue to me.

Re: two problem with MDC

Hi,
No, it´s not a memory issue, because i have 2GB and because this ony happens with Divx/xvid. HD videos plays fine, and HD videos are more memory hog than xvid/divx.

Outside the MDC they play fine.

also, on my first vista installation, a few month ago, it worked perfectly.... this time they refuse to work correctly.

I believe is some kind of codec issue, but on the other hand, they play fine outside the MC.

I have no idea what could be the problem.
