Vista Home Premium x64

I have crashing problems on home premium x64. A lot but not all my .avi files tend to crash while using Media Center AND WMP11. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with codecs.
I have Vista Codec pack x64 and "Xvid 1.1.3" Note that before Xvid 1.1.3 i wasn't able to play any .avi files in WMP11. Just got sound. |

Search for K-lite codec pack and try to find the 64 bit version. Install that and you'll find that most of your video problems will be over. I would recommend uninstalling other codec packs first, but you don't need to. Too many codecs can be as bad as not enough.
Safe to assume you are watching downloaded movies? Good luck. here's a link: FileForum | K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit Paul Last edited by PMcGarr; 03-11-2008 at 03:33 PM. Reason: added link |
