Re: WMC -garbled audio = HELP

no, i don't know where to locate them. Could I just reinstall WMC and over write what's already on the PC?

Re: WMC -garbled audio = HELP

Did you install WMC before? and do you have the program installer to install it again?

Sorry, but it is a part of Vista - do you want to perform a Vista re-install? That is usually the absolute last step I recommend, because it entails hours of work backup up your data, noting your serial numbers, backing up settings, formatting, installing Vista, installing applications, installing drivers, etc.

What model TV Tuner card do you have? You devices are all located in Device manager - check the version you have installed and see if a newer version is available for it....if not, then remove the device and then let Vista find it and then reinstall the drivers when it asks for them.

You seem hellbent on trying ti uninstall and reinstall WMC, but you are not looking at the bigger picture - the problem is with ***LIVE*** TV - not other media - so why would it be WMC's fault?

Re: WMC -garbled audio = HELP

Vista also has this search bar in your start menu - most things you want to find you click on the start button and then type what you are looking for - so that is really the fastest way to open device manager - click start, type device, and then look at the top, and you *should* see Device Manager.
