Re: Missing listings

Hi leadley,

This also happens ocassionally with set-top boxes as well. Sometimes setting it to previous or next day can help restore the listing, and even switching to the appropriate channel can do it as well. It is not a fault of your computer or the media card, rather that is just how things sometimes are at the moment. Hopefully, this should improve when the UK has totally switched over to digital. At the moment, most transmitters radiate both the digital and analogue signals, with the analogue ones being much stronger. Sometimes, under certain conditions, this can mean that the analogue signal can cause problems with the digital signal leading to various symtoms such as incomplete program listings and ocassional pauses in the actual programs. As FreeView uses the airwaves, it is also susceptible to atmospheric conditions, although not to the same extent as analogue. When the analogue signal is finally turned off in 2012 the digital signals should be stronger and more reliable as they will be able to utilise the full power of the transmitters.
