My Webcam will not work on MSN or Yahoo

Hi
I have a Compaq Presario F600 running Vista Home.Everthing else works fine except my webcam. I can see my cam on my screen, but not the the othe persons. I run the latest trend micro protection which I have tried turning off, but all I get is loading and then network connection error.
I have read numerous other threads, although none have seemed to come to a final conclusion on this matter. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I'm not quite sure I understand the problem here.

You say you can see yourself fine, but not the other person?

If you can see yourself, and the other person can see you, this is not a problem with your webcam at all. If you cannot see the other person, that is something wrong either with your software (MSN/Yahoo!), or a hardware problem on their end.

However, I'm going to assume it's actually your webcam not working (As in the other person cannot see you)

Alright, after taking a look for your PC/Laptop online, I actually can't track down a Compaq Presario F600. As shown here, it goes from F500 to F700, with no product page or drivers for a "F600" computer. You'll have to clarify this.

Anyways, I've found a "universal" HP/Compaq Webcam driver available for download here if you'd like to give that a try.

Otherwise, please clarify in detail:

1) What problems you're experiencing with your webcam
2) Using Desktop or Laptop
3) If Desktop, what model of Webcam you are using
4) Computer Model Number

Thank you!

What does a TV Card have to do with anything? He's talking about a webcam.

Re: My Webcam will not work on MSN or Yahoo

Some TV Tuners install a driver or software, that allows recording applications to record TV from the card, rather than using a Media Center application, I have the same problem, it's a simple fix, that can be done from inside the Instant Messengers Options.
