Vista - Vista Media Center not working...

I'm having issues with my Media Center on my Vista PC. Whenever I try to open it, I get several errors. I get 2 errors that Media Center Schedular Service, and Media Center Host Module have stopped working and were closed. Also I get a third error that says Media Center has stopped working and was closed. The first 2 errors also pop up even when not trying to open Media Center. The weird part is that I can access the Media Center thru my extender (xbox360). I chatted with a HP tech person and they suggested that I do a system restore. However the problem has been going on for over a month and I no longer have a restore point far enough back to choose, so that is not an option. I ran a diagnostic that checked the dll files and repaired the faulty ones but ehproxy.dll was not able to be repaired. I believe that is the problem file but am at a loss on how to fix it. I am open to any suggestions to rectify the problem.

Well issue is fixed. I ended up having to do a system recovery in order to get the files fixed. Not really the option I wanted to do but it worked. I was able to back up all the music, pictures and such to another PC on the network so the recovery was not a total loss.
