| Vista 32 | Media Center suddendly slow I have an HP computer with a dual core at 2.2 gHz and a GeForce 8500 GT. This computer is used exclusivily as a Media Center device. The TV tuner card is an ATI product (don't know the model off the top of my head). Up until yesterday the media center ran as smooth as butter, quickly launching TV, DVDs, etc. Suddendly this morning it is running as slow as can be. Not only is live and recorded TV choppy, but the menus themselves are slow to navigate. There's plenty of room on the hard drive and every other program on the system runs fast and smoothly. I've made no changes since yesterday. Any ideas? |
