| Visat X86 | No tv signal Hi all, I have been a fan of the XP MC2005 for some time, before Christmas I allowed service pack 3 to download, must of been in a merry state as I didn't want to download as I hadn't tested what effect this would have on my MC. Anyway it happened and every time I went into live TV would get the message no TV signal. Device manager shown the winfast DVT1000(T) cards as working ok. Un installed/ re installed device drivers no different. So I figured it was time to upgrade to Vista Home Premium as I could have this problem again (XP SP3). Loaded new O/S, all went well but noted that when the VMC was put to sleep, then woke it up I would get the message NO TV Signal. Research goggle, here and XP Media Centre forum, (by the way great information on both XPMC and here) but couldn't find a fix. Played with power setting as I noticed when the PC was restarted all was well (until the next sleep mode). VMC starts up nicely and goes to sleep when it is told. But after each sleep I still get the NO TV Signal. I noted some comments on the TV tuner card I was using (Winfast DVT1000) and there was a lot for the card and some against card. My thoughts, never had a problem with it till now. I notice in one forum on best TV tuners for Vista to forget the top of the range like Hauppauge. Most were happy with the simple ones like the Compro T100. As far a a tuner card goes, value for money and it is approved as a Vista tuner card I brought 2 cards, installed but I am still having that same nagging problem with the "NO TV signal" after sleep and the only way to fix is to restart the VMC. Has anyone had any success at fixing this problem or do I need to go back to XP MC and don't install updates. Can anyone provide some advice VMC Config: Motherboard: Gigabyte 8VM800 CPU: Intel-D915 2.8Ghz RAM: 2GB, HDD(s): 320GB & 750GB, Tuner(s): Was 2xWinfast DTV 1000T Now 2 x Compro Video Mate Vista T100 Video card: GForce6200,WMC Keyboard & Remote Case: Antec Fusion |
