Whenever I am playing an mp3 or video, and I click the x to close wmp the program closes, but the mp3 or video continues to play. How can I correct this?

Re: WMP 11 Does not close properly

Yes I would like to know as well as it can get a bit annoying as I too try and close WMP 11 and it seems to play on for a couple of seconds after I close it.....

Re: WMP 11 Does not close properly

Best and proper way is to click STOP button first then close the wmp window.

That's like sweeping and putting all the dirt under the rug! Why does it still keep playing a couple of seconds after exiting?

Re: WMP 11 Does not close properly

Do you shut your computer down by pressing the power switch? I guess you don't.

The same is with any application. WMP needs time to shut itself down that's why
it can play the song for a few second after you closed the window. I've got no
problem with one more step when I close the WMP.

Cheers...

No, of course not, but when I hit the sleep button it SLEEPS right away!

That's different story...yes it sleeps right away... well, it looks like the PC is dead because the display and lights are turn off, in reality the operating system does not sleep, it keeps everything on the ram what you had opened in order to be ready to roll when you wake it up again.
