MS movie maker

I have Vista Home Premium and am using Movie Maker to make a movie combining mostly stills with some video, titles and transitions. I've been doing it in sections and saving each as I completed. Now I want to put them all together, but when I try to import files, I get an error message stating that MSWMM files can't be imported because there is no codec. Seems odd to me that this program has created them but won't let me open them. How, please, do I get round this annoyance?
TIA
David

Re: MS movie maker

Hello David,

What you need to do is render the MSWMM files to a suitable Video file format (eg. WMV or AVI).

you may then load these files into a new project for the final edit

Hope this helps
