Is this playing from the BD disk or a hard drive? PowerDVD won't play a BD movie from a hard drive unless you store it as an ISO file and mount it on something like Virtual CloneDrive SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive You can create an ISO with something like ImageBurn http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download |

| Vista Ultimate X64 SP2 | Re: mpeg2 bluray play help "PowerDVD suffers from an odd design choice, the inability to play ripped Blu-ray movies. You have to rip movies as an ISO file and then use a virtual drive to “load” the discs." Last edited by rive0108; 03-31-2009 at 07:03 PM.. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: mpeg2 bluray play help I use my PC as a Blue Ray player and also had trouble with updates from cyberlink. They are aware of the issues as the version 8 did not work yet version 7 Ultra works perfectly. What you might try is uninstalling everything from cyberlink then reinstall. They have a clean download tool that removes all traces of the cyberlink software. You can also use anyDVD from VCDhelp.com as a free trial for 15 days. It is costly and I do not recommend that software but it does work. The best way is to reinstall like I stated. Their tech support is pretty good and will also help you to fix the problem. It will take about a dozen attempts with their help though! There is no benefit for the version 9, even though they say you get DSP with the SPDIF. That is bogus, I get the same with version 7 Ultra with realtek HD right off my MB. Do a system restore before attempting anything just in case you have trouble! I hope this helps. |
