Vista - Hitting ANY key starts up WMC, what to do?

For some reason, hitting any key on the keyboard automatically starts up WMC. If i exit, it pops up again the next time i hit a key. If i minimize it, it pops up again. I can't disable it in any way either. It's currently impossible to write anything, surf the web, play games etc. What to do?

what is 'WMC' ?

If all else fails (configuring 'WMC') try simply uninstalling it and reinstalling it freshly.

Or you might also want to use windows system recovery to turn your computer back to a state prior to this 'problem' occurring.

Also, did you always have this problem with WMC or has it only started recently?

If it used to work 'normally' in the past your 'WMC' install might be corrupt or infected.

Are you talking about Windows Media Center? The version of XP? The OS?

If you are maybe your just putting it to sleep and pressing a button is waking it up.

You need to shutdown to stop this not sleep.

...im sorry if this is completely unrelated to your WMC. But that's all I can think of.

WMC = Windows Media Center, which is included in Vista OS.

Yes, i do shut it down completely, but it starts up again as soon as i hit a new key.
