Windows Movie Maker

I made a video and tried to publish it to DVD. It burned part way through and then the screen went black. A caption displayed as did a still picture that was inserted. I tried again and it got a little further and then the screen went black again. I tried it again, it went a little further. The movie does not take up the whole DVD. I tried again a few days later using a slower speed and it was back before the last stopping point. I tried to burn files to a cd and try it on a friends computer. I was not successful with this. I tried compressing it and e-mailing it. Only titles and transitions came up. This is for a class presentation in 4 days.
