Re: Changing Music file Artist/Album names?

Have you tried clicking the empty space inline with the track under Artist/Album etc.

If you right click over the part you want to edit you will see edit in the context menu.
Hit that and it should open a box like above. But you need to be over the line you want to edit.

Nope, all i get is "sort by" etc
and properties...which goes down the same road as the 3rd pic.

That I really don't understand? What WMP version are you using?
I have go through mine and cant find any setting that should stop you from changing tag info so I'm really stumped.

You are doing this in media player right?

Re: Changing Music file Artist/Album names?

Noo its just in a basic folder on the desktop, where i store my music.
I use itunes and im fine editing tags in that, but it would be much easier if i could edit the info in the folders...it just seems a bit impossible :s

Re: Changing Music file Artist/Album names?

Yea you cant do it from the folder you need to be using a tag editor like iTunes or Media Player.
Sorry I could not tell form your pics at first that this was what you were trying to do.
There are several free tag editors out there that can make doing that a lot easer.
Give me a min and Ill shoot you a link for the one I use.
