WMC tv error

I have a problem with watching tv on WMC. the pciture is there.. the sound is there but the while watching tv.. (any channel) the whole computer will hang like freeze.. nth moves...

anyways to solve this?

Your video card may very well be the problem. That's a lot of graphics processing going on, and if you're running other stuff on your computer at the same time, things might just get too heavy and bog your system down.

I'd suggest looking for a bump in RAM as well as maybe a new video card.

This has to be the worst advice you could offer. Obviously it works, the hang could be many things but more than 2gb RAM and a different card will not solve this issue and would likely create a host of other issues for the OP. How are you a Guru?

To the OP: My first thought is a thermal issue. You might take the side cover off of your case and use a desk fan to keep things cool. Run Media Center for a bit to see if your hang continues.
