Windows Dvd Maker

Hi, I have recently started to use windows dvd maker and I am trying to put several .avi files onto one dvd. I have two problems when trying to do this:

1. I cannot fit more than 150mins of playback on a disk (no matter what the size of the disk is) In one circumstance I was using 4.38gb media and was 3minutes over capacity so I bought some 4.7gb media but still have the same problem however on using third party software I can fit a lot more onto the media even when i only use the smaller dvd.

2. I cannot add titles too the chapters. I have read a lot of people have the same issue and that I can add my own using windows movie maker. I am prepared to overlook this small issue if there is a way around the first issue?

So my question is, is there a fix availabe for my first problem?

If there is no fix available can anyone suggest any third party software?

I have tried a lot of programs but they are all missing at least one of the following required features:

I would like to:
1. Add multiple .avi files onto 1 dvd splitting into chapters
2. Have a menu like the windows dvd maker "Bandwidth" menu where it takes a short clip of all .avi files and merges them into a short 30sec video.
3. Add title text to each chapter.

thanks in advance for any help

Re: Windows Dvd Maker

I have nero 9 and I tried to use nero vision for this but I could not make the menu like the windows dvd maker "Bandwidth" menu. This menu automatically takes short clips from each .avi file and merges them into one short clip to play in the background sometime overlapping each other or different effects.

Are you saying nero can do this but I have not figured out how? If so can you help me with it?

Re: Windows Dvd Maker

Aah I see you want this
You messed up try again

Yea I don't know about that sorry I got ya worked up.
That's a pretty coll movie intro tho I wish Nero could do it.
I've never seen it till now.

Could you use a avi clipping program to reduce the size of your files a little so they will fit on the disk and still use mov maker?

If so here is the one I use.
It works very, very well and easy to

Re: Windows Dvd Maker

Yea, thats the effect I wish to use I have downloaded all the template packs for nero and there is nothing like that there there seems to be some similar ones that I could use instead but they do not appear in nero vision even though I have installed them?

As for your suggestion of shrinking the .avi file do you mean file size or minutes played? I have already edited the files with windows movie maker and got them as short as possible without removing any more unwanted footage.
