Vista - Deleting Pictures - But Still There!

Hi,

I recently deleted some photo's i dont want any more, but when i go into my start menu and type a keyword in, they show up. I then try and delete but when i either right or left click on the file location, it crashes.

If anyone knows how to solve my problem i would be really happy.

This happens when your pictures were cached somewhere OR your search index has not been updated to reflect the latest changes to file system.
(i dont have experienced such sort of problems so far on my vista..)

So how would i resolve my problem?

what kind of crash u have?

Are the ghost "files" shortcuts? if so,
Try to "Explore" the start menu (right click on "all programs" -> "explore"), then find those bad shortcuts and delete them manually.

if they are not shortcuts, try to rebuild index table (control panel -> indexing options) by first deleting those inconsistent folders then adding them back.
