Vista - Icons on desktop get messed up after disconnecting HDMI

Hi All,

I use HDMI port to connect my Sony Vaio with Vista Home premium to Samsung full HD LCD TV to watch the movies using VLC player, after I disconnect the cable all the Icons get messed up on desktop & I have to rearrange. Can anybody has solution for this.

Do you have your desktop set to auto-arrange? If so, that might be causing this.

You can right-click on your desktop and select “view” from the resulting menu. From there, check to see if there is a check mark next to auto-arrange in the other menu.

Thanks Rons, Auto Arrange is not marked... should I mark it?

Try marking it and then unmarking it, it might help with the auto-shuffle type thing that's going on for you.
