Thanks for your reply but im not brilliant with computers so can you please tell me what the VMC is and how to configure it?
Thanks

Looking at the manuf web forum there appears to be a few issues. Have you looked at any of the following:

Compro Technology • View topic - Vista E800F doesn't work in WMC

Compro Technology • View topic - E700 Missing Channels

Re: TV tuner

I've given up on ever getting VMC (or Windows 7 MC) working properly. I don't what broke it because it worked for the longest time without any issues.
Now I've installed my ATI Catalyst Media Center in compatability mode out of sheer desperation.
It works, but just as badly as it does in XP - misses out all the channels it previously saw while scanning, those between ch 22 and 48...God knows why.

what kind of tv card do you have i have a TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe
i have no problems getting it to work in win7 make sure you install play ready
in win7 MC
mine is a dual tuner both analog and digital both sides work with no problem i have tested it with win7 32 and win7 64x

vista is another story to get the digital side to work i had to install media center tv pack

Re: TV tuner

I have TV Wonder 650 PCI on Vista Ultimate & Windows 7 Ultimate x86. Not sure what play ready is actually nor MC TV pack either. I'm in Canada, if that makes any difference and am on cable.

Catalyst Media Center works fine except for this mystery as to why it scans and sees ch's 23 to 48 but once finished scanning it's like those channels never existed.

Plus there's no EPG which I suppose I could do without.
