Hi

Have you re-configured VMC for your new tuner and checked that the program guide data is correct?

Hi

Sorry if I didn't make it clear. Try this:
  • Press 'Start', All programs, and select 'Vista Media Centre' (VMC)
  • Within VMC, move down the list until 'Tasks' is selected and then click on 'Settings'
  • Click on TV
  • Click on 'Set Up TV Signal' and follow the wizard.
Let me know how you get on.

Re: TV tuner

Thanks for the help but unfortunantly that hasn't worked either.
I've also tried uninstalling the software and installing it again but that hasn't worked.
Any more ideas would be much appreciated

Okay, idea 2!!

If you go into Control Panel>Device Manager do you see your tuner card and if so is it reporting it as okay within it's properties?

Also, have you tried downloading the latest driver from the web site:

Re: TV tuner

Hi
I have downloaded the latest driver from the webiste and it still doesn't work.
I also checked the status of the drivers and there are working properly according to the properties menu.

Ok - Idea 3

Have you tried a normal TV connected to the Aerial? Have you the opportunity to try the tuner in another PC?

Re: TV tuner

Hi
Yes, I have tried plugging a digital tv into the aerial which I am using and it works fine picking up all the channels. Unfortunatley I don't have another computer to try the tv tuner in.
I am still puzzled why it's not working
Any more ideas?

Re: TV tuner

It seems to be a universal problem. Some theories suggest certain security software treats WMC as a network device when it isn't. Dell Forums is full of complaints about the same thing.

I can only get it to work sometimes, it seems to depend on its mood, not kidding.
