| Vista Ultimate x64 | Vista Ultimate x64 WMP11 error Code C00D11B1 Been having problems playing videos that I have downloaded as rentals, which means when I go to play them they check the rights. The reason I mention this is because other videos that I have on my computer that are not downloaded rentals play just fine. When I go to play a downloaded rental, in the lower left corner it will say "media changed" instead of "acquiring digital rights" and then a pop-up comes up saying it can't play the video click to close or click for web help. Clicking on web help takes me to this link: Click Here I've followed several different "fixes" I've found online; downloaded codec packs, changed setting in the in the advanced properties of my speakers in the sound section of sound manager to both enable the option "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" and disable this option as well as I had found seperate posts saying that each option will fix the issue. Enable/disable, codec packs, none has fixed the issue and I till get the same error and link. This has been going on for a few weeks, I believe since the latest big update from MS, and another fix I attempted was to restore to a point before the updates. Still not fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Good luck and post your results. Windows Media Player error c00d11b1 solved « David Strom’s Web Informant I have included the codec pack that i use, it will play anything and everything i throw at it. it's scanned and clean. (un-install all old codec packs first to avoid conflicts). Setup.exe |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista Ultimate x64 WMP11 error Code C00D11B1 The codecs pack didn't do the trick, but the link to the thread you gave me had a fix that worked for me....#46, using that tool to reset the DRM file. Thanks for the help. That post you linked to has a TON of posts to it, seems like this is a problem that either happens frequently or is affecting a lot of folks. Cheers! |

| Vista Ultimate x64, SP2 | Re: Vista Ultimate x64 WMP11 error Code C00D11B1 It seems to be a common problem with a load of different causes and just as many fixes. I found that codec pack to be one of the better ones, so it may be worth keeping. I'm glad you found an answer that worked for you though. |
