Crash Live TV

My computer is crashing and rebooting whenever i start Live TV.

I am using Vista Ultimate 64, with ATI X1950 pro, Hauppagge HVR1600, 12GB RAM, 1.5TB Hdd on an ASUS P6T with 2.66GHZ Intel i7 CPU. This happens everytime with or without the coax cable connected.

Please help i can't find anything in the internet.

Re: Crash Live TV

Try removing the tuners drivers, restart pc then install them back one at a time testing MC after each one is completed.

Re: Crash Live TV

I've unistalled the drivers (yet they still remain in system32 and system32/drivers) cancelled vista's new hardware found dialog, but in device manager there is no Hauppagge device.

How do i install each driver manually?

BTW, vmc doesn't crash when starting Live TV with the tuner uninstalled.

Re: Crash Live TV

Ok i deleted the following:

HCW85BDA.sys
hcw85enc.ax
hcw85enc.rom
hcw85mlD.rom
hcw85prop.ax
hcwcp.ax
hcwecppp.ax

and cannot delete:

bdasup.sys
drmk.sys
ksthunk.sys
portcls.sys

I tried deleting those with unlocker but the unlocker icon does not show up in my right click menu.

I am still getting crashes so it has to be one of the ones i could not delete.

Any ideas?
