| Vista Home Premium 32bit | CODEC issues - No sound on live TV and recorded TV After 6 good months where everything worked just fine, I have now lost the sound on Live TV in windows media center, and there is no sound when I playback recorded TV in Media Center. In addition I have the following observations: No "introduction sound" - when media center starts. No sound when I try "Configuration of speakers" in Media Center Sound works fine when playing music Sound works fine when playing the recorded TV programs in Media player - in other words, the files are intacts - it is just Media Center that does not work Based on the above I assume taht I have problems with my CODECS. Problem is - I have no clue how to fix it! ![]() Where do I go from here? |

| Vista home premium 32bit | Media center and media player use the same codec sources on your system. If it works in media player, a codec problem is very unlikely. My guess is that some media center file got corrupted. You can run SFC /SCANNOW in cmd (open as admin). Maybe it can fix it. |
