Hopefully someone can help me, but it seems like there are a lot of WMP not working threads.

I'm at my wits ends, I suddenly can't open Media Player. When I do I get a box saying it stopped working and needs to be shutdown. If I click directly on the WMP icon, or click an audio, video, etc file, it automatically closes.

When I got to the Problem report, it gives me this information:

anyone have any info on this?

both of my friends have had the same problem but mine seems to work fine?

they both bought their pcs from Tesco.

i thought it may be to do with preinstaled software but i really don't know.

would be interested to find out what this comes up with
