Getting multiple cd's to play in correct order

I've finally found a program that allows me to sync (and do all sorts of things) my iPod with Windows Media Player - which is good, as I don't care much for iTunes, however the one thing that iTunes has, that WMP 11 doesn't, is that it plays multiple cd's in the correct order.

Let's say I have an album with two cd's ...for simplicity, it has 2 songs on each cd. iTunes plays it, 1, 2, 1, 2 - while WMP stupidly plays it 1, 1, 2, 2.

Is there any add-on that can fix this (preferably free)?

    Thanks in advance

Making a playlist in WMP would do it. You make a new playlist and you can drag the tracks back and forth to determine order.

Absolutely, that's a possibility - however, that's just something I don't want to do The other possibility would be to mark the cd's accordingly, like "Name Of Cd [1]", "Name Of Cd [2]" (again a route I'm not willing to take) ...surely, with a few million windows users out there, someone with the know-how must have done something about this; as this is still like this in Windows Media Player in Windows 7 (as far as I know)

Thanks for the reply - however, hopefully I will not have to go to iTunes

EDIT: Seriously?? No one has ever come up with a solution to this problem? Feck, I can play almost any, if not all, media files (never had any trouble so far) and when I download video files I can find a subtitle and play it with the video ... but this little thing??? Does anyone happen to know where I can send feedback for this crappy Windows Media Player program?
