Labtop to TV via HDMI, but my screens dont match up?

    Labtop to TV via HDMI, but my screens dont match up?

    When I connect my Dell XPS M1530 comp to my vizio hd tv using a hdmi cable it works great except that it cuts off about a 1/2" of my labtop screen on the TV, so i cant see my start bar and what not. Is there anyway to fix this?

    sounds like u need to adjust resolution in control panel or the capabilities of the pc and tv dont match.
