i have vista 64 , xbox and an asus wl520g wireless ap

my problem is , getting the xbox to act as a media extender

xbox connects to xbox live therefore it works through the router to the net

pc see's the xbox

when i try to add extender , it says it cant find one

i've disabled all firewalls , tried removing the INFCACHE.1 file

anyone had the same sort of problem and solved it

The problem cones with the public share. You must enable media sharing.
Make sure the xbox is on and you have cleared all existing network connections. Then use the xbox to establish a media centre connection get number etc.

This worked for me.
