Problems Saving My Work!!

Im having a huge problem!! Whenever I do anything on PowerPoint, Excel, Word and try to save my material it freezes up and gives me this error:

The problem exists whenever that little box pops up. If I send an e-mail and try to send an attachment that little box pops up to ask where to get the attachment it freezes up. Im a college student so this is killing me!!! Please if anybody can help.

Welcome to the forum.

What version of Office do you have installed? Only the 2003 and newer versions are compatible with Vista.

I have Office 2007. I used it for a couple of months with no prob.

Here are some things you can try to resolve your problem

1. Reinstall Office 2007.

2. Run a sfc /scannow command.

If SFC finds corruption, you will need to run chkdsk.

3. Do a Repair Install.

dude the first two solutions did not work. i guess i gotta do a repair installation. Would it be better if i just started the whole thing over again like new?? Reinstall vista?? Or should i just go back to xp??

A clean install is always the best route to go if have or can make backups of anything you do not want to lose. The Repair install offers a way to usually repair Vista without losing everything. You could go back to XP if you like, but you should give Vista a good spin around the block to see how you like it when it is up and running smooth. It's your choice of course.
