Hi
Thaks for your reply.

I used the Revo Uninstaller and removed Office. I then reinstalled office (Enterprise) and it still gives the same error.

Yep - removed all the registry keys it mentioned.

Somehow I think it's to do with UAC, but I can't work out how or what.
If I run Winword from the instal directory as run as administrator it works. If I turn off UAC it works.
Otherwise

Re: Word Not Installed for Current User

After trying the solutions set out by various sources on the net i have stumbled upon a solution that worked for me. First I deleted C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA\opa12.dat then i resupplied my activation details and now office 2007 is all working.
Be warned this seems to be all caused by a recent microsoft update for office, thank you microsoft.

Re: Word Not Installed for Current User

Hi,
Yes I tried that as well. I finally gave up and reinstalled Vista. Great fun and a waste of time and energy. i still am catching up with programs to reinstall etc.

Interesting that you think it came from a Word update. My system started to do this after having to clear and reinstalling Adobe CS3

regards
