So Complicated

Hi i have just moved from XP to Vista and i like most everything but Office , all i want to do is print but it just seems so complicated , it automatically goes to One Note , and to print something of the Internet say if you booked flights and you want to print the details again seems so complicated , it's i know probably i haven't configured properly but it's very frustrating with XP i just clicked print and that was it , can anybody help

Hard to know, but I'm guessing your default printer is the Microsoft XPS (or something like that). You'll need to make sure your default is the one you actually are trying to print onto. That should solve the problem. If not, I'll try to give it more of a look when I'm back on my normal computer this evening.

Hi i use the Hewlett Packard printer very basic i can print with it but i am not use to this One note that office seems to automatically go to when i click print

Okay. I'll do some troubleshooting for you when I'm in front of my Vista computer. I've got OneNote, so I should be able to recreate your issue. It'll be a few hours, though. Sorry.

Everything I've found suggests that the problem is that you've somehow selected "Print to OneNote" as your default. Check your printers under control panel and double-check that the one you want is the default (it should have a little green checkmark next to it). I'll post again if I find anything else.
