Today I opened up a Word file on my machine through Firefox. I continued to modify the document and saved it using control+s. After adding 16 pages to the document, I exited it and attempted to email it, only to find that it was not there or anywhere to be found. I've tried searching for .tmp files and .wbk files with no luck. I figured there would be somewhere the file was saved to when it was opened to and then saved to again each time I saved it. I also figured Word would auto save it. I'm using Word 2007 and Vista 32bit. Thanks

Are you sure you didn't store it on an external HD or USB-stick which you afterwards pulled out?

Otherwise maybe try it with GetDataBack (Google).
