Close Word document without shutting down Word as well

Ok, now I just realized another problem resulted from making this change. When I now attempt to alt-tab to another open Word Doc, only the resident Word document shows up on the alt-tab list, i.e. the other open docs aren't available. I have to go to View>Switch Windows to get to the other Word docs. Can this be fixed?

In the far left hand corner, click on the yellow "Office Button". On the bottom of the pull down list is "Close". This will close your document, but not shut down "Word".
On the lower right of the pull down list is "Close Word"

cangst, easiest way is to add the "Switch Windows" to the quick access bar. Just right click on the "Switch Windows" icon, then click on "Add to quick access tool bar. The icon is now on the quick access tool bar. Just click on that icon, and click on the document you want.
