New question is, when I print, supressing the hidden text, it moves text and sections around, scrunching everything together rather than leaving the gaps that I thought I created and that should remain. Even though the hidden text is not printing, I need the spacing I set up. This is for a worksheet for students to fill out and the hidden text is my answer key which I don't want to print for them but I need to leave the spacing as is so they have room to write.

That would be me that answered the question.
I think I understand what you're trying to do here. I haven't found any real solution for you that will allow you to do what you want, but I do have a workaround that may do.
Instead of just simply hiding the text, why don't you do this:
In the above screenshot, the word "text" has been hidden and is followed by a series of underscore characters ("_"), so that when printed, you get this:
In this manner you can print the student worksheet with the relevant spaces for them to write their answers, and you can have your master copy with the hidden answers printed.
I'll invesigate further into how to toggle the display/printing of the hidden answers and their associated spaces....
