Vista - Word 2007 Spell Checker Issues..........Anyone else?

First off I am received a lot of helpful information thus far from the boards; thank you.

I have searched numerous threads and google/yahoo searches for my continuing issues with MS Word 2007 Spell Checker. Spell Checker no longer identifies spelling errors yet grammar correction remains. I have tried registry tweaks and carefully examining the proofing options within Word 2007. I do not have a previous version for a custom install so that is not an option. Spell Check functions fine in ppt and xls but not in Word anymore. If anyone has any solutions I will be very much appreciative and no longer flustered. If a Word fix is not available are there any free spell checkers that will function inside a word document? Thanks all!

Have you performed a repair on Word?

Yes, I have run both a repair for Office and a diagnostics within Word itself; no luck thus far. I have been reading around about this issue and it seems appears a lot of people are tying all sorts of things but to no avail.

Actually that whole thread is good, but I am assuming you've already seen it...but maybe not as you mentioned reg tweaks and such but nothing about the dictionary....

I looked over the posts and tried a few things but again no luck. I don't have a previous version installed that I can revert back to. I have checked the language settings numerous times. Something interesting to note is that if I open a Word 2007 doc in Word 2003 on another computer spell check will not work inside that opened document; the error transfers over.

Run Word with all Macros disabled. Create a brand new document. Save it with some lorem ipsum gibberish and then take it to the other computer and see if you can spell check it.
