| vista home premium | Office Suite 2003, Vista OS I'm having trouble with my office assistant. I have an Office Suite 2003 product on my new Vista Home Premium OS PC. Anytime I try to fix my office assistant by using the gallery it gives me an error message that says there isn't enough memory to complete the operation. I'm only using about 22 GB out of a total 227 GB available, so I don't really believe that. Help! Also, there are times when I'm using an application and it tries to automatically update my Word 2003 to 2007 - and ends up getting stuck. I close out of it, but what's going on? | vista home premium | Re: Office Suite 2003, Vista OS Yes, though I didn't know that at first. I'm not really questioning why it wants to do so as much as I'm questioning why it chokes on me when it *does try to upgrade itself. Any ideas on my office assistant? I miss my cat. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Office Suite 2003, Vista OS Not sure as I never used office assistant- but if it is trying to upgrade Office 2007 components then the system still thinks that Office 2007 is *installed* hence your upgrade issues. Word 2003 never tries to self update to word 2007 - so if WIndows Update provides you with an update for Word 2007 it is because your system is reporting that it still has Word 2007 installed. Did you remove the trial via Programs and Features? |

| vista home premium | Re: Office Suite 2003, Vista OS If it's a trial version (rather than full) does that explain the activation assistant found on my program menu? Would that apply to the whole thing or just some pieces of it, and how would I tell the difference? Would a trial version on the PC account for my difficulties with the office assistant or could it be something else? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Office Suite 2003, Vista OS Yes, it is a trial version and does explain the activation assistant. Remove the trial quickly, so far from what I've heard it brings nothing but harm unless you buy it. |
