| ultimatex32 | Windows Installer I have posted this problem before, and was successfully advised how to solve it. When I load any function of Office 2007, a box appears telling me that Windows Installer is preparing to load. This is annoying and time consuming, but it can be removed and Office has then to be re-installed. After a couple of days, the box reappears and the process has to be repeated. Could someone advise me why it keeps coming back, and can it be removed alogether? What is the purpose of Windows Installer? Thanks Brian |

| Vista Ultimate X64 | Re: Windows Installer HI shankswv, Welcome to the forums. I have seen this before and the only way I know to get rid of it was to make a new local profile on that PC and transfer all the settings to it. Then once the customer says the new profile is set properly delete the old profile as it serves no purpose. If the user has a roaming profile you would need to create a new one. Raj |
