Vista - Microsoft Office Word Spell Check Help

Hi. I was using Microsoft Office Word to create a document and then tried to spell check it at the end. It said that spell check could not check some of the text because it was marked "do not spell check." I didn't mark any of my text as not to spell check. I'm not sure how it happened. This document is for my college class and I really need it to be spell checked. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Hi what you need to do is go into word then on the pretty Office button top left hand corner click on it and go down to the bottom where is says word options and exit word. Now click on Word options and check the Proofing options as they're set by default not to check cetain words look at second panel down it says When correcting spelling in Microsoft Office, also try checking the one underneath and change any that you find could be stopping your document from being spell checked.

Hope this helps as always run spell check over anything I do especially if late at night and getting extra tired.

That's OK only knew about it as my spelling is so bad as soon as start to get tired and found out about these options in Office XP Pro and just took me longer to find them in Office 2007

Really glad was able to help you and is so easy once you know where things are and hate the new word layout in 2007, loved my XP Pro was so easy to find things but have to go with these changes but should put manuals in with them telling you where to find things would save us hours, but that would be too easy and logical for a company like Microsoft
