| Vista Business | Vista business / office 2000. Hi We have a mixture of vista business and xp machines in our business all have office 2000 and outlook 2003 installed. The vista machines all have the same spec and have all been installed from the same image. We are having a couple of issues with excel and word in but only on some of our vista machines. Excel problems seem to arise when the toolbar is used (bold, font changes, colour changes) and the following message is displayed. "Microsoft Excel for windows has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is found". The event log entry is as follows. "Faulting application Excel.exe. version 9.0.0.8924. Faulting module 4117bca8. version unknown. fault address 0.x.0.0.0." I have read that this could be a corrupt tool bar and that the .xlb file sould be re-named or deleted but there is no .xlb file on the machine. We also have a problem with word where we are unable to open word and browse to a word document on the desktop and open it. The program just doesn't respond but in this case it does not crash. We can open the same document by double clicking on the desktop icon. If anyone can help with either of the above issues it would be most appreciated. Many thanks. |
