| 32 | Uninstall free version of microsoft office Please assist me. I purchased a new computer and it came with a 60-day trial of Microsoft office. I don't want it since I already have a copy of Microsoft Offce Home and Student which I prefer to install myself. When I uninstall the prepackaged Office do I need to uninstall the Power Point Viewer 2007 and the Microsoft Visual redistributor and Works? Thank you. |

| Windows 7 RC x64 Vista HP x86 | Re: Uninstall free version of microsoft office Hello roxiemoxie, welcome to the vista forums  you should be able to uninstall the trial office from control panel without problems, if your version of Office has a working copy of Powerpoint included, (not sure what's included in the Home & student Package), then uninstall that too as it 's function is duplicated by the full Powerpoint program. Works is not a part of Office but a simpler alternative to it so unless you intend to use any of it's home management functions you could uninstall that too. Hope this helps  |
