| 32 | Uninstall free version of microsoft office Please assist me. I purchased a new computer and it came with a 60-day trial of Microsoft office. I don't want it since I already have a copy of Microsoft Offce Home and Student which I prefer to install myself. When I uninstall the prepackaged Office do I need to uninstall the Power Point Viewer 2007 and the Microsoft Visual redistributor and Works? Thank you. |

| Windows 7 RC x64 Vista HP x86 | Re: Uninstall free version of microsoft office Hello roxiemoxie, welcome to the vista forums ![]() you should be able to uninstall the trial office from control panel without problems, if your version of Office has a working copy of Powerpoint included, (not sure what's included in the Home & student Package), then uninstall that too as it 's function is duplicated by the full Powerpoint program. Works is not a part of Office but a simpler alternative to it so unless you intend to use any of it's home management functions you could uninstall that too. Hope this helps |
