| Vist Ultimate x64 | How would I delete completely?.. Okay, turns out that most likely the culprit for my computer acting different is because of Microsoft Office. The problem I have is with not being able to get microsoft updates, open control panel, etc. I went into safe mode and tried to uninstall, but it would not let me. So I cold deleted from the program files folder. However, now that I'm in regular mode, my computer is still acting like before. How do I resolve this?.. |

| Vista Ultimate w/SP1 (32-bit) and Windows 7 Build 7000 (64-bit) | Re: How would I delete completely?.. You deleted all the Office files from the installation directory without properly uninstalling? If you did then you just screwed over your system stability. NEVER delete files without first running through an uninstall process, if you do you will leave stray registry entries and files located elsewhere... I'd recommend downloading some type of registry cleaner and cleaning out all traces of Office from your registry. |

| Vist Ultimate x64 | Re: How would I delete completely?.. I mentioned in my initial post that I attempted to uninstall, but it would not let me. I might find a way to do a manual uninstall. Any pointers, please feel free. Thanks. |

| Windows 7 RC x64 Vista HP x86 | Re: How would I delete completely?.. Hi Jouho, Strangely enough the easiest way to solve you problem may well be to Install office again and then un-install. The re-install should install a working un-installer and so would then allow you to proceed. One thing I would add is if you do go down this route - try to install the office in the same configuration as previously - same apps, location etc, Hope this helps |
