| Vista Business 32bit | Outlook 2007: Problem With “File Cannot Be Found” Hi: I am running MS Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista. I recently deleted some PST backup files that I no longer need. The problem is that now whenever I open Outlook, I get the following pop-up message for each of those files: “The file [filename] cannot be found,” and I have to click "Cancel" on all of the new pop-ups to start Outlook. These messages are very time consuming to cancel each time that I open Outlook. Is there a solution? Any help is most appreciated. |

The problem is that now whenever I open Outlook, I get the following pop-up message for each of those files: “The file [filename] cannot be found,” and I have to click "Cancel" on all of the new pop-ups to start Outlook. Try this – (first make a backup of your pst just in case) -Open Outlook 2007 -Click on File then -Data Management -Click Data Files -Look to see if the pst files that you deleted are still listed and highlight them and click Remove ![]() Restart Outlook and that should hopefully fix your problem. |
