| XP (Going to upgrade to Vista x64) | Office 2007: Home & Sudent Edition + Outlook? Hi everyone, I'm just looking at getting Office 2007 but it's so expensive! It looks like the only version I can afford is the Home and Student edition and I'll probably buy Outlook separately. However, I read that Home and Student edition is not for commercial use, which is annoying as my computer will be used for general home use and small business use. Will I have any problems trying to use Home and Student edition for business? Then I read something about matching the Outlook version to the Office license, or something like that. Will I be able to install Outlook 2007 on the same computer as the Office Home and Student edition or is there something in the Home and Student software that prevents this? Thanks in advance, BrassMonkey |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: Office 2007: Home & Sudent Edition + Outlook? I had purchased the Home and Student version as well for the same reason. I already owned Outlook 2003 and was satisfied with it. Both worked well together. I would like to caution you that the Home and Office version is a minimized version of the "big boy" version. It does not support tables as effectively and it is missing a lot of other things. I am a Microsoft fan but I may have to revert to "Open Office" which is free. I'll let you know. |

| XP (Going to upgrade to Vista x64) | Re: Office 2007: Home & Sudent Edition + Outlook? Yeah, I am a bit worried about how much is missing from the Home and Student version. I'm now thinking of going for OpenOffice and Thunderbird - that'll save me about £113 (about $161) that I can spend on getting better hardware instead. |
