Re: Excel not responding

Try these procedures...

1- Open any office app - Word, Excel, PowerPoint. For your example - Excel
2- Click the Office button in the upper left hand corner
3- Click Excel Options (If you'd of opened Word, it would be Word Options)
4- Click Resources
5- Then next to run Microsoft Office Diagnostics click Diagnose

This will run a diagnostic on "ALL" the office programs and attempt to repair/fix any problems found.

Let me know

Re: Excel not responding

If you've got all the patches and service pack 1 installed for Office, and you said you've done the procedure I outlined, you may need to uninstall and reinstall office and go from there.

Just curious - Do you have any problems with other office apps?

And for reference, I'm using Office Enterprise 2007 of Vista Ultimate x64 without issues. I added that so you know I’m actually using the program on a 64-bit OS. In fact I use Excel quite extensively as I use Excel for a number of tracking inventories.

Again, make sure you have the latest patches and service pack 1 installed, if that's done, you may need to reinstall Office. You could also try the "uninstall repair procedure" discussed here - Outlook 2007 error, to see if that'll help, but...

Let me know.

OK, completely uninstall the Office Suite, then reinstall the suite. Yes you can use the same key to activate the software.

Let me know.
