Vista - Outlook problem

HI,Iam been using microsoft outlook express form the last two or three days, the actual problem is that iam try to send mail to myself and there is one option of send/receive in outlook , after sending the mail if i do click on same option it showing sens and receive completed but ian not getting mails in my mail box.Looking for a solution..........
