Vista - Unable to paste from web to word

Suddenly I am unable to paste information from my e-mail or the web to a word document. I receive a message stating that the amount selected is too large, but when I select only one word to copy, the message remains the same. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know the reason for this, but until someone can answer your question my work around is to copy then paste it to Notepad and then do the same to your document. Little clumsy, but it will work in a pinch.

I had a similar problem with my Yahoo mail a while back. I found that if I went into Yahoo's "Print View" I was able to cut and paste text from there. Also, sometimes I couldn't cut and paste using the Cut command in my Toolbar, but I could do it if I right-clicked on the mouse and obtained the Cut command from there instead. Don't know if either of these will help, but they're some alternatives to think about.

I have the same problem as Kathy B, newbie. Why is this happening all of a sudden? Does anyone know if there is there anything Microsoft can do to fix it?

Can you tell us the exact error message you're getting? Do you have Internet Explorer 7 currently? From what I've read after a quick google of the problem, upgrading to Internet Explorer 8 has helped some people. Use the below link and click 'Download' to start downloading and then follow the installation instructions on the next page.

I don't know whether this will solve your problem, but it's a good thing to try until we can think of something else. If you can give us the exact error message you get when trying to copy and paste I can have another hunt for a solution.
